Title role : - Python Developer (SC Cleared) only eligible
About the Role: -
1. Developing Python Developer to produce bespoke tooling for the BPS API Service, specifically the bespoke tools needed to generate configuration data (from files, databases and host structure files) to feed into other visual tools to aid requirement definition production.
2. Will also provide support, technical guidance and help to implement development best practices. This will include coaching, mentoring and supporting team members.
3. Responsible for writing code that is secure, performant, scalable, in accordance with Department standards, and well documented.
4. The developer will be open to code reviews as well as reviewing the code of their peers. Professionals will work as part of an internal multidisciplinary developer support product team, with access to both technical and non-technical team members, as well as leadership. You will be part of a multidisciplinary internal product team.
Job Description: -
Have a minimum of 4 years experience in the following :
1) Demonstrate evidence of professional experience on python development skills development in bespoke tooling.
2) Demonstrate evidence of experience of processing XML in python.
3) Demonstrate evidence of experience of producing JSON in python.
4) Demonstrate evidence of experience of data visualisation using SVG or similar
5) Demonstrate evidence of generating metadata.
6) Experience on JSON to get filter data from JSON files and has development of front-end components using JSON.
7) Hands on experience with JSON.
8) Hands on experience with designing visual tooling that reads and generates configuration/metadata.
9) Evidence of excellent communication and collaboration skills to handle stakeholders and non-technical teams.
10) Working with Agile working practices in managing large software development project that meets demanding time restraints and exceed all expectations.
11) Providing solid 2 years experience in Python Developer as handle the bespoke tooling technologies.
12) Have a good knowledge of Git.
13) Familiar with working with a CI/CD pipeline such as GitLab.
14) Continuous Integration with GitLab's central source control and CI Platform.
15) Must have the active SC clearance working in the UK Government.
Nice-to-have experience: -
a) Good knowledge in Microfocus COBOL
b) Understanding and familiar of Node.js.
c) As a developer knowledge of SQL.
e) Demonstrate experience of database interaction
f) Experience of Agile working practices
Periods : - 4 Months.
